Wander Out West is the personal storytelling project of Liv & Tommy, a Colorado-based photo and video duo. Liv created the platform as a place to share the moments that are easy to feel and hard to describe: wild landscapes, quiet in-between moments, and the unplanned experiences that end up mattering most.
She and Tommy met right here in the mountains and found an instant creative connection. What started as two people chasing good light and better stories grew into a partnership built on trust, timing, and knowing exactly when to hand off the camera.
Together, they share not just the places they go, but the feeling of being there.
This is the same eye for storytelling that shapes their commercial work at Wander Path Media, just pointed at open roads instead of client briefs.
BEHIND WANDER OUT WEST
I’m Liv
Hello, my name is Olivia but you can call me Liv! Wander Out West began as a way to document life as I lived it — not just the places I went, but how they felt. To turn my deep love for wild places, storytelling, and slow travel into something tangible — a space to create and share art rooted in adventure.
What began as an elopement photography brand has grown into a personal journey — now focused on travel, film photography, and meaningful stories from the road. Wander Out West is an ever–evolving journal of place, story, and art. It’s where landscapes turn into keepsakes, and travels into timeless prints and words. With photographs, and thoughtfully crafted experiences, this brand captures the fleeting, the raw, and the unforgettable. Whether you’re planning your own journey or just dreaming from your kitchen table, you’re invited to follow along.
Let’s wander west — and everywhere in between. I’ma storyteller at heart, collecting experiences and weaving connections wherever I roam.
I’m Tommy
Tommy is one of the artists and storytellers behind Wander Out West. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, Tommy Rhyan is a travel photographer and videographer now based in Evergreen, Colorado. While his childhood was filled with sports and family boating trips, it wasn't until he began exploring abandoned places with a friend that he discovered his passion for visual storytelling. Borrowing a camera sparked a creative journey that would eventually shape his career.
Tommy's path has taken him across the country and around the world, working on a wide variety of creative projects. After pursuing opportunities in Los Angeles' film industry, the pandemic brought him back home where he continued building his photography and videography business. Along the way, he has worked behind the scenes on a travel television show, filmed for YouTube creators, contributed to commercial productions in Los Angeles, and documented stories in remarkable places.
Tommy is a visual storyteller specializing in intimate weddings, elopements, and adventure travel. Whether crafting cinematic films or timeless photography, his goal is to preserve the true feeling of a moment, not just the aesthetic. A trusted industry professional, his behind-the-scenes photography for a PBS TV show ultimately led to him realizing a lifelong dream: being featured by National Geographic.
