Sarah + Collin | Colorado Adventure Elopement: Hike to Dinner at 10,800 Feet
We helped Sarah + Collin curate their wedding experience across two unforgettable Colorado adventures. First, we headed into Rocky Mountain National Park for an adventure engagement session. An opportunity to explore together, take in the mountains and wildlife, and document this season of their relationship in a more intimate way. It also gave us the chance to get to know them, how they interact, and what makes them them before their elopement day arrived.
Then, we met again in Twin Lakes, Colorado for the second part of their story: their elopement.
ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK
After their adventure engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park, Sarah + Collin’s story continued at Twin Lakes, Colorado. They stayed in a nearby Airbnb with their closest family and friends, bringing everyone together for a few days in the mountains and, of course, their sweet dog Tilly, who was an essential part of their day.
TWIN LAKE CEREMONY
With the mountains and lake as their backdrop, Sarah + Collin exchanged vows surrounded by their favorite people, with Sarah’s dad officiating the ceremony. Having someone so meaningful to their family standing beside them made the moment even more special.
After the ceremony, the adventure continued. Their wedding gear was loaded onto a 4x4, and they headed with their closest family members to the Nordic Center near Ski Cooper to begin their hike to Tennessee Pass Cookhouse.
HIKE TO DINNER IN A YURT?!
This 1.1-mile trail winds through the San Isabel National Forest before arriving at a candlelit backcountry yurt tucked away at 10,800 feet!
Inside, a multi-course seasonal candlelit dinner awaited, featuring handmade dishes, fresh salads, wild game, and thoughtfully selected wines. It was the perfect ending to a day that was completely their own.
